You can reassign transactions originally written to the suspense account from the Suspense Account Transfer screen.
The Suspense Account Transfer screen lists all of the transactions written to the Suspense account, identifying the period, the journal, the date of the transaction, a description of the transaction, the amount, and any notes or memo related to the transaction.
From here, you can reassign a single transaction or multiple suspense transactions to different accounts in a single operation.
To reassign suspense account transactions:
1. Select Suspense from the Write Up menu to open the Suspense Account Transfer screen
The screen lists all of the transactions written to the Suspense account. Columns in the Transactions table display the Period, Journal, and Date for each transaction, the Reference # (if any) and Description, the Amount of the transaction, and any additional information about the transaction in the Memo column.
2. Navigate to the transaction you want to change.
The table is organized by period, then by journal within each period, then by date.
3. Click the drop-down list in the New Account column to select the new account for the transaction.
You can select new accounts for multiple transactions in a single operation.
4. Click Save.
The transactions you changed are moved to the new accounts you specified.
